Public Mobile
The Challenge
Public Mobile—along with their agency, Cossette—wanted to execute three scripted commercials using only real people (ie. non-actors) found on the street, with a serious time crunch and a small budget.

The Solve
Public Mobile and Cossette had developed a campaign called “Less For Less.” The conceit of the campaign was that Public Mobile cheaped out on their advertising and passed those savings onto their customers. They developed three comedy spots that used people found on the street to “act” in their commercials.


The Solve
To make it work, our production company brought in a team of filmmakers from the world of documentary film and reality television as content creators. The team consisted of skilled field producers who were used to on-the-spot casting, a DP with experience capturing spontaneous moments, and a comedic-doc director with a knack for drawing performances out of real people. The results were three spots that were deliberately hokey, heartwarmingly clumsy, and charmingly funny.
